Havana Club, all palms, tobacco leaf walls, and luxurious leather settees, recalls the plush, masculine atmospheres of Graham Greene novels. Beijing, Redmoon, Grand Hyatt BeijingRedmoon at the Grand Hyatt Beijing is primarily a swanky bar and restaurant, but there is an in-house cigar room with a fine selection of cigars. These can be accompabied by cocktails, wines and premium whiskies. Modern music is performed on traditional Chinese instruments, making for quite a different type of experience. The restaurant menu includes oysters and Dom Pérignon. Dubai, Monty Cristo'sAnother prize for Monty Cristo's, a great name for a cigar lounge in a hotel with a golf course! This is part of The Address Montgomerie Dubai, where, as well as a cigar, you can enjoy a game of billiards, or a round of golf on the Address Montgomerie course. Interiors at Monty Cristo's feature large leather armchairs surrounded by Colin Montgomerie (great Scottish golfer) paraphernalia, but more importantly, there is a truly superb selection of cigars and single-malt whiskys. Dubai, Library BarThe Library Bar at the Ritz-Carlton Dubai has interiors featuring leather sofas and winged chairs, and a relatively restricted cigar menu (Cohiba, Monte Cristo, Partagas, Romeo y Julieta, Hoyo de Monterrey, Punch). Its cocktail menu includes Ritz-Carlton signature recipes, and there is an extensive dinner menu with Italian, international and Arabic specialities. Smokers who enjoy golf can play a round on one of the two courses in the vicinity, and the Splendido restaurant presents Italian cuisine by Corrado Pani. It won the Bar of the Year in 2009, and the Glenfiddich Award for Bar Culture; the bar manager Ewald Stromer won the Gault & Millau Bartender of the Year award in 2006. London, Garden Room, The Lanesborough LondonThe Garden Room is a superbly luxurious and mellow venue in Knightsbridge, part of The Lanesborough London, with a lovely plant-filled décor. Milan, Casa del HabanoStrangely there are very few venues dedicated to cigars in Milan. One is Casa del Habano, a franchise run by a Cuban company that guarantees the quality of the "puros." In Milan, it is in Via Anfossi 28, which was originally a tobacconists run by a family who decided to further their passion for good cigars. The venue provides the opportunity to purchase the finest Cuban cigars. Quality is guaranteed by a walk-in humidor. Like other Casa del Habana stores worldwide, there are limited-edition and exclusive cigars from time to time. The shop also stocks St. Dupont lighters, humidors, cigar holders in carujano leather, and climate-controlled cabinets.
